The Project:
Create structural concrete for new addition to existing facility.
The Challenge:
Work was undertaken during a time of extreme heat which set us up for potential delays. Also, because of the heat, our concrete was solidifying more quickly than it usually would, under normal conditions.
Our Work:
In order to maintain the integrity of the concrete, we added ice chips into the concrete mix. This process must be handled very carefully in order to be effective and not delay the mixing process. For maximum efficiency, handling of all the materials had to be done with the utmost of care. We managed this process without a hitch.
End Result:
Despite the intense heat and unusual circumstances, we were able to complete the project on time and on budget.
